OUR EVENTS
First Anniversary
On February 1st, the Afghan Community of Charlottesville proudly celebrated the first anniversary of our official recognition as a community. The event, held at the Jefferson-Madison Regional Library, brought together our families, community leaders, and supporters to reflect on our journey over the past year.
This gathering highlighted our growth, unity, and contributions to the city. In addition to celebrating this milestone, we also raised awareness about an important need: establishing a dedicated Muslim cemetery to ensure proper religious burial practices for local Muslim families.
Fourth Anniversary
The Afghan Community of Charlottesville, Virginia proudly celebrated its fourth anniversary, marking four years of unity, resilience, and cultural preservation. This anniversary not only celebrates past achievements but also renews the commitment to building a stronger, more connected future for Afghan Americans in Charlottesville, Virginia.
